We were nervous new parents when we started taking our four month old puppy, Sleater, to Muddy Paws of Finchley.
We had had a bad experience with a previous sitter and were anxious to leave Sleater again with someone new, but Carole was recommended by our dog trainer and we really needed to find someone to care for her during some evenings out. Our concerns went away almost immediately when we met Carole. Not only did Carole do a fantastic job looking after Sleater but she was also excellent at communicating with us and letting us know how Sleater was doing. It didn't take long for us to sign up for puppy day care, and now Sleater spends at least two days a week at "aunt" Carole's. It's been a double benefit, because not only does Sleater love spending the day going for walks and playing with the other dogs, but we've also noticed that her response to commands have improved. It is clear that Carole and Lottie are caring and competant dog sitters and walkers. All of the dogs we have met seem to be having a wonderful time with them. It really does feel like Sleater is part of the family at Muddy Paws and we can't think of a better place for her to go when we aren't able to give her the attention she deserves. We feel lucky to have found Muddy Paws of Finchley and strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring dog sitter and walker. Tamara and Tara, Sleater's owners. |
"There are no adequate words to describe how much my black labrador loves Carole and Lottie. This is serious big love - she doesn't even notice when I leave. They extend the same big love they have for their own dogs to my dog who thinks of their home as her home. Their wise advice, huge knowledge of dog behaviour, and incredible sensitivity is just amazing. We could never go away for even a day if our much loved dog was not safe and sound with these two wonderful dog whisperers. I almost dont want to give a rave review because I want them to myself. Nelson our KC spaniel joined the Muddy Paws family about a year and a half ago. I say a family because that's exactly what it feels like! We all absolutely love both Lottie and Carole and most importantly Nelson loves walking with them and is elated to see them at every walk. "George and Maizie really enjoy their walks with Carole of Muddy Paws, when they return home they are completely relaxed and happy for the rest of the day.
I find that Carole is reliable and trustworthy and extremely flexible as on many occasions I have asked for walks at very late notice and she has done her best to make sure George and Maizie get their walks. Maizie has also spent two of her holidays with Carole and the family and she just loves being back to her puppy home with her mum, Tisker and brother, Ballou. Cannot thank you enough. "From the first moments that I talked and subsequently met Carole and Lottie I knew I could trust them implicitly with our new puppy. They offered great advice and a warm welcome. They know all their dogs and families so well and were even great with our children. Our dog Cookie drags me up their path every week and I totally trust them with her. They provide great walks and a stimulating environment, even a paddling pool on hot days!!!! Without fail she has a wonderful time each visit and she comes back happy and tired. Our two year old chocolate lab, Tilly, has been cared for three days a week by Carole and Lottie since she was 12 weeks old. They give her the best possible care and she has the best days with them. Apart from a long daily walk on the Heath having fun with doggy friends, Tilly gets lots of love and plenty of cuddles as part of Carole and Lottie's lovely dog family. From Tilly being a new puppy, Carole and Lottie have helped with training and provided me, who has never before owned a dog, with much valued sensible, practical advice. Tilly has also stayed with Carole and Lottie when we go on holiday and again benefitted from the same loving care. What makes the care Carole and Lottie provide so very special is the way the dogs are not only wonderfully cared for, but are all treated as part of their family and with real love. Tilly's sheer delight when we arrive at Carole's house in the morning speaks volumes - I can't recommend them highly enough. Gail, Tilly 's mum. 
Poppy, our black Cockerlier is very lucky to have been looked after by Carole and Lottie at Muddy Paws of Finchley for the past 3+ years. From our very first meeting, it was apparent Carole & Lottie expend a huge amount of experience, love, care and cuddles on all their doggy “guests”. It is equally clear how well Carole & Lottie look after Poppy, and how happy she is to be walked, and stay at her second “home from home”. Without reservation, Carole & Lottie are totally trustworthy, caring, and continue to provide us and Poppy with a fantastic Doggy Day Care service three days a week (and grooming when required). "Thank you for providing such a caring home from home for Bruno. It was really important to us to find the right day care and holiday care for our little puppy so we were happy when a friend recommended you. A year on we know we made the right choice and can rely on you for regular and flexible day care. Aside from the day care it is such a relief to be able to go away for longer stretches knowing that Bruno is not only in safe hands but is having a whale of a time! "I have known Carole and Lottie of Muddy Paws of Finchley for two years since we got our cocker spaniel, Woody at three months old. I can't praise them enough. I've used them for doggy daycare, holiday boarding and grooming and all the services they offer are exceptional. For holiday boarding they really are a home from home for Woody and when I collect him he is always very happy and has clearly bonded extremely well with them. Both Carole and Lottie are very experienced at handling all breeds and have an excellent manner with the dogs, understanding their characters and
quirks and are able to bring out the best in them. And for the dogs' parents they are lovely people to deal with! Calm and professional they are also - crucially - very honest and when they say they only take a small number of dogs on a walk, it's true.
